French 28th Chasseurs a Cheval

These miniatures are more 15mm Old Glory that I pick up on ebay or a show.

They were painted with a mixture of contrast paints and traditional acrylics.

I painted them to represent the 28th Chasseurs. I believe they were formed in Hamburg before the Russian campaign. Form what I have read they were a lot of Piemontese in the Regiment.

The Regiment was part of Ney's 3 Corps Light Calvary. It seems they were decimated during the battles leading up to Borodino.

French 4th Chasseurs a Cheval

In 1812 the 4th Chasseurs a Cheval was part of the 3rd Corp's Light Calalry in Beurmann's Brigade.

They were heavily engaged during the entire Russian

campaign. They charged the redoubt at least 3 times at Borodino.

These figures are 15mm Old Glory. I used contrast paints with high lights.

6th Chevau-Legers-Lanciers

The 6th Lanciers were part of Marshal Ney's 3rd Army Corps in the Grand Armee.
These figures are 15mm Essex. I used a combination of contrast paints and regular acrylics.
Their facing color is supposed to be madder red. I used the contrast color flesh tearers red. From what I could find on the internet the color is a close match.

Little Russia Cuirassier

I just finished these Little Russia Cuirassiers. They are Old Glory 15mm like the rest of my Russian heavy calvary. I've really taken a liken to the contrast paints from GW. With a little high lighting and some old fashion painting on the faces and other places. They came out at my standard.
