French 4th Chasseurs a Cheval

In 1812 the 4th Chasseurs a Cheval was part of the 3rd Corp's Light Calalry in Beurmann's Brigade.

They were heavily engaged during the entire Russian

campaign. They charged the redoubt at least 3 times at Borodino.

These figures are 15mm Old Glory. I used contrast paints with high lights.

6th Chevau-Legers-Lanciers

The 6th Lanciers were part of Marshal Ney's 3rd Army Corps in the Grand Armee.
These figures are 15mm Essex. I used a combination of contrast paints and regular acrylics.
Their facing color is supposed to be madder red. I used the contrast color flesh tearers red. From what I could find on the internet the color is a close match.

Little Russia Cuirassier

I just finished these Little Russia Cuirassiers. They are Old Glory 15mm like the rest of my Russian heavy calvary. I've really taken a liken to the contrast paints from GW. With a little high lighting and some old fashion painting on the faces and other places. They came out at my standard.

Wurttemberg 1st Light Infantry Regiment

The Wurttemberg 1st Light Infantry Regiment was part of Marshal Ney's 3rd Army Corps in 1812.
The Wurttemberg Division was designated the 25th Division under Marchand's command in the Grand Army.
The Division was heavily used in the Russian campaign. At Borodino they were used to attack the fleches. Where the Division was counter attacked by the Russian Cuirassiers and were forced into square. Marshal Murat famously used one of the squares to protect himself.I know this unit did not have a flag. But I liked the look.

Tavrichesky Grenadier

These are another unit of Minifigs, I think. They were bought on Ebay at between 5 and 10 years ago.

At least they are finally finished.

1st Regiment Wurttemberg

This unit is painted up to be the 1st Regiment "Prince Paul" of Wurttemberg. They were part of Ney's 3rd Corps, 25th Division "The Wurttemberger Division" under General Marchand who was with Ney at Jena and Spain.

These figures are from Blue Moon Miniatures. I made the mistake of priming them in a gloss blue. This made painting them a chore. The details of the miniatures are excellent which definitely helped me paint over the horrible primer. before I based them, I wasn't happy with the way they looked. But after basing them, I think they look better. Even my oldest daughter wanted to know "Why would you prime them blue?"

The one figure of the command pack that is a sergent has a large hand. So I made a stein for him to hold. Other wise the figures are nice.

Chasseur a Cheval Legion Portugaise

This regiment was attached to the Imperial Guard at Borodino. So they didn't see any action at the battle. I wanted to paint them so that I would have the whole Legion.

These are actually Old Glory Austrians that I bought on Ebay years ago. I needed more horses for other units. They had thick paint on them that was a real pain to strip.
