French 1st and 3rd Chasseurs a Cheval

These troopers are 3d printed from a Kickstarter I backed. I printed them out somewhere around 18mm. https://store.regimientosdeamerica.com. The sculptor is Fernando Pedrazzoli.

I painted them as the 1st and 3rd Chasseurs a Cheval of 1st Army Corps of Marshal Davout. During the invasion of Russia 1812.

French 48th Line

This unit was almost complete when I came home from Historicon and it got pushed to the back burner. So I could paint some Prussians.

The 48th was in Dufour's Brigade in Friant's Division with was part of Davout's First Corps in Russia 1812.

These are more 15mm Old Glory miniatures. I used more GW contrast paints with traditional acrylics with washes.

Russian Kharkov Dragoons

The Kharkov Dragoons were in Bagrations' 2nd Army of the West. They were part of the 4th Cavalry Corps under General Siever. The 4th Corps also had the New Russia Draggons, Kiev Dragoons and Lithuania Uhlans which I've already painted.

These are more Old Glory 15mm figures. I used a mixture of contrast paints and traditional acrylic paints. I am happy with the results I got from the 2 methods.

French 28th Chasseurs a Cheval

These miniatures are more 15mm Old Glory that I pick up on ebay or a show.

They were painted with a mixture of contrast paints and traditional acrylics.

I painted them to represent the 28th Chasseurs. I believe they were formed in Hamburg before the Russian campaign. Form what I have read they were a lot of Piemontese in the Regiment.

The Regiment was part of Ney's 3 Corps Light Calvary. It seems they were decimated during the battles leading up to Borodino.

French 4th Chasseurs a Cheval

In 1812 the 4th Chasseurs a Cheval was part of the 3rd Corp's Light Calalry in Beurmann's Brigade.

They were heavily engaged during the entire Russian

campaign. They charged the redoubt at least 3 times at Borodino.

These figures are 15mm Old Glory. I used contrast paints with high lights.

6th Chevau-Legers-Lanciers

The 6th Lanciers were part of Marshal Ney's 3rd Army Corps in the Grand Armee.
These figures are 15mm Essex. I used a combination of contrast paints and regular acrylics.
Their facing color is supposed to be madder red. I used the contrast color flesh tearers red. From what I could find on the internet the color is a close match.

Tavrichesky Grenadier

These are another unit of Minifigs, I think. They were bought on Ebay at between 5 and 10 years ago.

At least they are finally finished.
